Garden Lighting
Garden Lighting is becoming more and more popular and will transform your garden into a place you won’t want to leave. Some of the most popular garden lighting is path lighting, old style lamp posts, deck lighting and patio lighting. I really love this kind of electrical work especially if the customer has decided to use a Wise box. A Wise box is a remote controlled power switch that can be programmed to switch lights or other electrical devices on or off in different parts of the garden just by pressing the corresponding button on a remote control. This really has the ‘wow’ affect and it’s great to see the amazed expression on a customer faces when they use it for the first time.
Kitchen Lighting
Kitchen lighting is often overlooked but can make a big difference if you add some down lights or spots. The Kitchen is also the ideal place for task lighting like under cabinet lighting which can improve the lighting on work surfaces.
Bathroom Lighting & Electrics
Considering the bathroom is all about water, it has a lot of electrical stuff in there too. Water and electricity don’t play well together so it’s important to do be extra careful when doing electrical work in the bathroom. That said, changing your bathroom light and/or fan can make your bathroom look much better and if you are fitting a power shower you will need a fused spur for the shower pump. Under floor heating is also a great way to heat your bathroom
Garage Power
Adding a fuse box to your garage can bring it to life as it enables you add many types of electrical devices like lighting, power sockets for that much needed extra fridge or freezer or even an electric garage door. As a bare minimum add some garage lighting and say goodbye to fumbling around looking for something in the dark with a torch that has little of no battery power left.
Additional Power Sockets
With more and more electrical devices in the home these days most houses never have enough power sockets. And the existing power sockets always seem to be in the wrong place! Adding additional power sockets is an easy and cost effective way to get rid of all those unsightly extension leads and overloaded socket adapters.
Conservatory lighting and Power
Now that you have your impressive new conservatory built don’t stop there, it’s not finished until you’ve added conservatory lighting and power sockets. By adding lighting and power sockets you turn your conservatory into a fully functional room for use all year round, not just in the summer time.
Loft Lighting
Loft lighting is more and more common these days and it makes sense as it’s relatively inexpensive and will make all your loft tasks easier. The light fitting doesn’t need to be anything fancy as you are the only person that will see it; all you need to do is get power to it. A built-in loft ladder really is the icing on the cake and I can arrange that too.
Other Indoor Lights
New indoor lighting can transform any room in the house from the kitchen, living room, dining room, bedrooms to the bathroom. The amount of different light fixtures available today is amazing so the sky is the limit, it’s really is up to you. Changing old lamp shades to down lights or spots is all the range now and adding these can completely change the way any room looks. They also look great in hallways.
